24 hours is a lot of fun
We landed at Gran Canaria airport and, as promised, our transfer car was waiting for us. It was a relief to know that even though it was late, we would have no problem checking in: the reception is open 24 hours a day.
As soon as we entered the Hotel Abora Buenaventura, we knew we had chosen the best place to spend our holiday. The attention of the staff, the colourful and cheerful decorations and the pleasant sound of laughter in the background told us that we were about to embark on an unforgettable experience. The air smelled faintly of tropical flowers, and there was a warm breeze drifting through the open lobby—a true island welcome.
We arrived at the room with the intention of resting, but this was not possible. Despite the comfortable beds and the cosy atmosphere, the balcony, which offered incredible views, encouraged us to explore the area around Playa del Inglés on foot. This vibrant town is home to a diverse range of visitors and offers a variety of local culinary experiences that are sure to delight the taste buds. The town is also a great place to try out some water sports or to explore the charming fishing villages that are located along the coast.
The hotel also offers an exquisite and extensive range of services, such as car hire, so you can explore the island at your leisure; free, high quality Wi-Fi, so you can share every moment of your holiday; and even a babysitting service - we were quite impressed!
The next morning, after a good night's sleep, we discovered a universe bursting with life and variety: areas specially designed for families, including a children's water zone with a separate play area; large, spacious pools to swim in and cool off from the warm Canary Islands sun; and exclusive areas for over 18s where the only thing you could hear was the sound of the jacuzzi.
It was a day full of fun activities. As the sun set, the music began to play, and after a delicious thematic meal, we all had a final toast before turning in for the night. It was the perfect end to our first 24-hour holiday at the Hotel Abora Buenaventura.

In addition, there is an exclusive area with a jacuzzi for guests over 18 years of age.
Themed dinners will transport you to exotic locations across the globe, without ever leaving Playa del Inglés. The dining options are open 24 hours a day and include an à la carte restaurant that creatively fuses the best of Mediterranean cuisine with local island influences. Our company name pays tribute to Abora, the Guanche sun god. This may be the reason for our affinity for sunflowers. After all, they are flowers, full of blossoms, that face the sun directly.
